After their contests in 2007 and 2008, they are back with two interesting challenges and $15000 in prizes to win!
The chance for all would-be writing, marketing and director stars.
The challenge
They’re looking for short, tight videos: all entries must be between 15 and 30 seconds! One ‘Walk’ track or a ‘Web’ track.
‘Walk’ track
The Psoriasis Cure Now Walk track is focused on creating a message conveying that Psoriasis Walks are fun and informative ways to connect with other psoriasis patients, to raise money for the cause while connecting with others who share their concerns about finding a cure for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Winners will craft a compelling message about Psoriasis Walks targeted to the psoriasis patient community.
‘Web’ track
Create a video that encourages psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis patients and their loved ones to join www.Psoriasis.Name, Psoriasis Cure Now social network on the internet that connects people who care about psoriasis with others who feel the same way. Psoriasis.Name allows psoriasis patients to learn about treatments, exchange ideas with other patients, find support and make friends, all at no charge, and all run by a nonprofit organization working to cure psoriasis. If you can get psoriasis patients excited about that in 15 to 30 seconds, you may walk away with $5,000!

Psoriasis Cure Now tell the remarkable story of four generations of women with psoriasis. Imagine four generations of women in the same family, all with psoriasis.
“I can’t remember my life before psoriasis took it over. By age three, I was covered from head to toe. I was hospitalized because the elasticity in my skin was gone, and I became so stiff I couldn’t move. I remember the nurses wrapping me in “green slime” (coal tar) and plastic wrap. Then they would come in and bathe me and peel my flakes and wrap me again.”
“My grandma has psoriasis, and my mom has psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. My great grandma, who passed away this year at age 96, also had psoriasis. I don’t know if I want to have children because I am afraid they too will have psoriasis.”
